Workplan
After actualisation of the scene and fine-tuning of logistics associated with the collection and supply of biomass (WP1), different technologies and approaches will be developed for direct biorefinery of plant side-streams (WP2) and indirect biorefinery of side-streams (WP3), with special attention for cobalanced feed and safety of insect-derived compounds (WP4). The fractionated components will be evaluated for integration in products for feed, chemistry and other sectors (WP5). Next, a selection of newly developed biorefinery approaches and products will be evaluated beyond labscale (pilot) and the whole value chain will be assessed: techno, economic, environmental aspects (WP6).
